Marliese E. Wells, 81, of Milford, Pa., died on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at home.

She was a graduate of NYU and was a secretary for Canada Dry, New York, N.Y., and for RKO-King Features and Syndicate, New York, N.Y.

The daughter of the late Herman and Else (Nitsch) Engelberg, she was born in Peine, Germany on August 22, 1925. She came to the United States in 1938 and often traveled back to Germany to see family members. On October 6, 1957 she married, William A. Wells, who predeceased her in 2002.

Survivors include her children, Carol Ann Buchanan of Milford, Pa., Ellen Wells of Clarksville, Del., and Lee A. Wells of Woodstock, Va.; five grandchildren: Erik, Cody, Cynthia, Bradley, and Rebecca; and her dog, Squirt.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Luke.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 8 p.m. at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, Pa. Rev. David Repenning will officiate.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 to — and 7 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. in Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, Pa.
