Myrna K. Harris, a resident of Park Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus. She was 58 years old.

Myrna was born October 2, 1948, to the late James Harris and Beatrice Byrd Harris.

Myrna was a faithful and dedicated member of the St. Paul's Baptist Church in Middletown where she served on the Usher Ministry for 19 years; as well as a faithful member of the Sunday School Ministry and Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting and Bible Study. Myrna attended the Life Choices-AHRC in Chester for a number of years, where she was involved in a lot of activities: cooking, domestics, arts and crafts, current events, bowling, trips, shopping, Meals-on-Wheels, and writing skills. She also loved to watch the Food Network Channel and especially the Weather Channel - she would give the weather report at school for current events. Myrna will be truly missed for her loving and compassionate spirit for God and others.

She is survived by her mother, Beatrice Harris of Middletown; her sister, Marjorie Horne and husband, Johnnie of Denver, Colo.; her nephew, Jon Horne and wife, Junhild of Rochester, and their children Karla and John Patrick; her cousins, Evelyn and Merlyn Hooker of Freemont, Calif.; Mildred Watkins of Philadelphia, Pa.; Robert Harris and wife, Olga, of Yellow Spring, Ohio; Louise and Thomas Sass of Norwalk, Conn.; James and Kathy Byrd of Willingboro, N.J.; Hawthorne and Joyce Byrd of Somerdale, N.J.; her extended family - "Second Mother" Rev. Dorothy Manley of Middletown; a brother, Anthony F. Manley of Sparta, N.J.; sisters, Elaine Marcel Manley of Middletown, and Lisa Anne Manley of Atlanta, Ga.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 94 Cottage St., Middletown. Pastor Ray Anthony King will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot in Pine Hill Cemetery.
