Sloatsburg - Traffic on Interstate 87 slowed yesterday afternoon because of an accident that resulted in a fuel spill.
A tractor-trailer jackknifed about 2 p.m. and its fuel tank was struck by a van, police said.
About 100 gallons of fuel spilled onto both northbound lanes, between Exit 15A and Exit 16, police said.
There was one minor injury, police said.
Initially all lanes were closed. Police reopened the left lanes to traffic by 3 p.m., but one lane remained closed as of yesterday evening.
