The poster for the 2007 Woodstock Film Festival is as unique as the festival itself.

Seen here, it was conceived and drawn by famous ‘60s artist Peter Max whose “cosmic” style helped define a generation.

“Given Peter’s strong positions on environmental, human and animal rights, it’s simply the most natural fit that he design our poster,” said Meira Blaustein, festival co-founder and executive director in a press release. “We are thrilled beyond belief to have an artist of his caliber promoting the Festival and creating an image that depicts the independent spirit, pursuit of dreams and fun that the Festival represents.”

Art collectors interested in purchasing a limited print of the piece can do so at The festival itself takes place Oct. 10-14.
