New Windsor - A lake management expert will speak tonight at an open workshop on controlling aquatic weed growth and protecting lakes from wastewater runoff and other pollution.
The Orange County Planning Department and Water Authority are sponsoring the session as part of the development of a Moodna Creek watershed protection plan. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Lake House at Beaver Dam Lake in New Windsor.
The scheduled speaker is Scott Kishbaugh, an environmental engineer with the state Department of Environmental Conservation. He is also the director of the New York Citizens Statewide Lake Assessment Program.
