Earnest Edwin Rogers, 80, of Matamoras, Pa., passed away on May 28, 2007 at Milford Senior Care in Westfall Township, Pa. He was a retired truck driver, past Commander of the Tri State Naval Ship in Port Jervis, N.Y., and was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.

The son of the late Maurice and Margaret (Travis) Rogers, he was born December 7, 1926 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was married to Marilyn Ade Rogers, who predeceased him on May 7, 2005.

Survivors include three sons: Alan Rogers of Matamoras, Pa., Douglas Rogers of Illinois, and Thomas Rogers of Lambertville, N.J., and six grandchildren.

Services and cremation will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
