Thomas C. Marchese, a resident of the area for 31 years, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at his home. He was 61.

The son of the late Charles Marchese and Susan Santoro Marchese he was born June 5, 1945 in Tucson, Ariz.

He was the husband of Anne Marie Lynch Marchese.

Mr. Marchese was a weigh master for Susquehanna Railroad in West New York, N.J. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Marie Marchese, at home; son, Charles Marchese and his wife, Tara of Washingtonville, New York; daughter, Deena Klaus and her husband, Keith of Monroe, N.C.; brother, Charles Marchese and his wife, Lorraine of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.; grandchildren: Alexis and Brittney Klaus and Shane and Andrew Marchese; nieces and nephews, Anthony Marchese and his wife, Elizabeth, Vincent Marchese, Richard Nubile and his wife, Linda, Donna Nickel and her husband, Daniel, James Nubile and his wife, Marge and Mark Nubile and his wife, Jackie.

A Family Statement reads: "His grandchildren were the love of his life and he was their special Papa."

Friends may call on Friday, June 1, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Rev. Jeffrey Maurer will officiate. Burial will be in Seamanville Cemetery, Monroe.
