Magdolna Szajko of New Windsor, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008 at St. Lukes Cornwall, Newburgh Campus. She was 67.

The daughter of the late Jozsef and Klara Kapitany Abraham, she was born August 8, 1940 in Kelebia, Hungary.

She is survived by her husband, Laszlo Szajko, at home; one daughter, Susan Nagy of Hungary; four sisters, Ave Putnoky of Deposit, NY, Marta Cruze of N.Y.C., Klara Abraham, and Valerie Abraham both of Hungary; one grandson, Armond Havasi of Hungary; her special friend who was like a sister to her, Magdolna Szabo of New Windsor, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc., 239 Quassaick Ave. (Rt. 94) in New Windsor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 1, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church, Newburgh, with Father John Vondras officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
