What's running: Modified, sportsman, spec sportsman, pro stock, pure stock

Last week highlights: The race card was rained out for the tenth time this season.

This week notes: The modified feature pays $2,000 to win. The sportsman feature will pay $850. Banner night and the Joe Winne Memorial have been re-scheduled for Aug. 7. The weather forecast calls for a better than 50 percent of showers from morning until 6 p.m., with temperatures in the low 70s. The points leaders are Mike Ricci (modified, by 6), Ryan Stortini (sportsman, by 5), Anthony Perrego (spec sportsman, by 9), Jon Routhier (pro stock, by 4) and Joe Judge (pure stock, by 22). The Wednesday Mid-Week Madness show returns on Aug. 5 with action in quads, bikes, slingshots, Kids Karts and 4-cylinder mini stocks.

Orange County Fair Speedway

Where: Middletown (Orange County)

When: Saturday, 6 p.m. (practice, 5 p.m.); special shows Sunday and Wednesday

What's running: Sportsman, pro stock, veteran pure stock, amateur pure stock. The modifieds have the night off.

Last week highlights: The feature winners on Saturday were Bruce Kline (modified), Jake Schlagel (sportsman), Tom Vigh (pro stock holdover), Tim McCarthy (pro stock), Mike Vigiletti (veteran pure stock) and Mike Consales (amateur pure stock). The Wednesday night show was rained out.

This week notes: The sportsman division will run a 50-lap feature, with the winner netting $1,500 and gaining an Eastern States starting spot. The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy conditions, temperatures in the low 70s The points leaders are Chuck McKee (modified, by 42; 358 modified, by 20), Mike Ruggiero (sportsman, by 6), Bill Pascual (pro stock, by 24), Emerson Cargain Sr. (veteran pure stock, by 78) and Matt Burke (amateur pure stock, by 10).

Bethel Motor Speedway

Where: White Lake (Sullivan County)

When: Saturday, 7 p.m. (practice, 5 p.m.)

What's running: Modified, Dirt sportsman, pro stock, street stock, 4-cylinder junior and senior. The INEX Legends are also scheduled. The Bandoleros return Aug. 8.

Last week highlights: Rain claimed most of the action. The feature winners were John Demarmels (Legends) and Larry O'Donnell (4-cylinder senior).

This week notes: The INEX Legends Asphalt Nationals qualifier will be held. The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy conditions, temperatures in the low 70s. The points leaders through July 18 were John Cote (modified, by 13), Dan Conklin (sportsman, by 34), Joe Barnes (pro stock, by 22), Gary VanOrden (street stock, by 173), Larry O'Donnell (4-cylinder senior, by 12), Jonathan McGibbon (4-cylinder junior, by 57) and Mike Alcaro (Legends, by 57). Legendstock is Aug. 15 with a rain date of Sunday, Aug. 16.
