Charles R. Weeden, Sr. of Hudson, FL, formerly of Montgomery, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, New Port Richey, FL. He was 80.

Charles was born in Johnson, NY, August 14, 1930, the son of the late William and Florence Leminn Weeden.

He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the Korean War. He was employed as a Truck Garage Supervisor at Middletown Psychiatric Center in Middletown for 30 years. He was a former Town of Wallkill Police Officer; member of CSEA; Orange County Peace Officers, and American Legion Post 1520, Montgomery.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fairweather Weeden, at home; two sons, Charles R. Weeden Jr. and his wife, Wendy, and Daniel Weeden and his wife, Mary of Middletown; two brothers, Harry Weeden of Maybrook, and William Weeden of Tennessee, and his sister, Patricia Silvernail of Hudson, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters: Audrey Hartnett and Grace Zulich, Joan Cramer, Sharon Edwards and brother, Harry Weeden.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Morse Funeral Home, Inc., 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., with interment at Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery in Otisville, with military honors.
