NEW YORK (AP) -- New York City's commuter trains and subways are experiencing a variety of problems, from disabled trains to service suspensions due to the winter storm.

The Long Island Rail Road is suspended.

New Jersey Transit is operating rail service the Port Jervis line on an enhanced weekend schedule on Monday due to weather. To plan trip at, use 1/17/11 as your travel date.

Metro-North's Hudson and Harlem lines are running on a Sunday schedule. The New Haven line is temporarily suspended.

The railroad says the New Haven line has a number of frozen switches and disabled trains. It says that overnight it had to move hundreds of passengers from disabled trains onto other trains. The railroad is now working to move the disabled trains from the tracks.

NYC Transit reports suspensions or delays throughout the subway system. Spokeswoman Deirdre Parker says its buses are experiencing problems in all five boroughs, specially making on snow-filled hilly streets. The Department of Sanitation department is assisting where needed.
