August 9, 2004 - December 21, 2010

Manhattan, Kansas

Madilyn Naomi Kirk was born on August 9, 2004 in West Point, New York, the daughter of Jeff and April Kirk.

It was noted at her birth she was born with a bit of an angelic look; though none of the many people who loved her expected her to leave so suddenly on December 21, 2010 for duties in God's court as the littlest angel. You see those who loved Maddie wanted her to live out the dreams and plans she would have in this life, which was at the age of 6 to be a princess.

God knew that Madilyn would only spend a short time on earth. So He entrusted her to April and Jeff, knowing they had the ability to love an almost angel more than life. Madilyn had her mother's way of loving everyone; but no one was more important to her than her brother, Colten who she loved and cared for. Madilyn had her father's strength and courage and of course his Irish sense of humor. In fact making people laugh was one of Maddie's gifts from God.

She loved going to the park, swimming, playing board games, dressing up like a princess and spending time with friends and her family.

Madilyn leaves behind her mommy and daddy, her brother, Colten, her mema and poppy, (Jeff and Frances) Kirk, maternal grandparents, Jane (North) and Jim Conklin. She will also be missed by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would ask for friends to join them for a visitation from 6:30 until 7:30p.m. on Tuesday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, to celebrate her life here on Earth and her new life in the form of an angel princess.

Funeral services for Madilyn will be held on Wednesday at 10:30a.m. at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel. Please wear something pink, it was Maddie's favorite color. Cremation will follow the service.
