Thomas G. Colligan of Middletown, passed away on Saturday,

Before being drafted to serve in the
U.S. Army during World War II, Tom attended
St. Bonaventure University. After
completing his service and returning

and was a true life-long learner. Tom was employed by

also a licensed realtor and worked part time selling real
estate for the Francis H. Colligan Agency in order to provide
for his family. When his children were young, Thomas
was employed full time and had two part time jobs. The
word “tired” was just not part of his vocabulary!
He was always willing to make sacrifices for his loved
ones. Thomas was a member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church
in Middletown. He was also a member of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars, the Elks Lodge 1097 in Middletown and
the Knights of Columbus. Tom was giving and unselfish.
He was a good Samaritan and believed in helping others
and giving back to society. His volunteer work included
Literacy Volunteers, Meals on Wheels, volunteering
time at the Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center and participating
as a member of the Town of Wallkill Zoning Board
of Appeals. His family meant everything to Tom. He was
a devoted husband, father, and faithful friend. Tom’s
love was unconditional. We will miss his love and seeing
those beautiful blue eyes and that infectious smile.
