Clara Claire DeMarco, of Newburgh, peacefully entered into rest, on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was 79.

Daughter of the late Frank and Maria DiPaul, she was born on July 28, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA.

Clara was an analyst at IBM in East Fishkill, NY for 23 years retiring in 1992. She was also a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, NY. In addition, she was an active contributor to ASPCA and numerous animal organizations.

She is survived by her loving children, Stephen DeMarco, and his wife, Karen of Newburgh, NY, James DeMarco of Newburgh, NY, and Mary Beth VanLeuvan and her husband, Kenny of Newburgh, NY; two sisters, Gemma Koran and Gloria Barbero both of Newburgh, NY; two grandchildren, Dr. Mario DeMarco, and his wife, Mara of Philadelphia, PA, and Gina DeMarco of Wappingers Falls, NY; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Disare and her brother, Ernest DiPaul.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 3 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY
