Mr. Richard John Bowman, Sr. of the town of Greenville and a long time resident died Friday, May 11, 2018 at home. He was 58.
He was born February 28, 1960 in Newburgh, NY the son of the late William Bowman and the late Florence Davis Bowman.
Richard married Linda M. Amanna 32 years ago on July 28, 1985 in Newburgh, NY.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Centennial Contractor Enterprises in West Point, NY. Richard was a member of the NRA, CSEA and a past member of the Shawangunk Fish and Game Assoc.
A family statement read: Here is a man that loved and cherished his family so very much. He is a man who raised three outstanding sons. He is a man who took care of his wife and loved her dearly. He is a man who worked very hard and you could count on. He will be deeply missed. Anyone that was privileged to know him as a friend knew how true a friend he was. He loved fishing, hunting, his beloved pets Buster and Randy and his mobile phone games.
Surviving are his wife Linda Bowman at home; sons, Richard J. Bowman, Jr. and his wife Megan of the Town of Greenville, NY, Anthony J. Bowman and his fiance Ashley of the Town of Greenville, NY, and Andrew W. Bowman and his girlfriend Caitlin of the Town of Greenville, NY; three brothers, Bill Bowman and his wife Ann of New Windsor, NY, Michael Bowman and his wife Nancy of New Windsor NY, and David Bowman of Newburgh, NY; sister Colleen White and her husband of Newburgh, NY; three grandchildren, Dylan Bowman, Nicholas Bowman and Leah Bowman; three sister-in-laws, Susan Hasbrouck and her husband Brad of Montgomery, NY, Margaret Shoemaker and her husband Walter of the Town of Greenville, NY, Joanne Amanna and her boyfriend Chris Mann of Middletown, NY; Mother-in-law Rachel Monroe of Middletown, NY. Also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private.
