Darrell Glenn Scott, 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. A native of Port Jervis, NY, he was the son of the late Edgar and Ruth Scott. He was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn Ellis Scott and Darrell Anthony Scott.
He was a graduate of Port Jervis High School, where he was a star football player. He received a full football scholarship to the University of Northern Colorado. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was a jet mechanic. He was a lease owner/operator for KLLM Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Castro-Scott; one daughter, Clarissa Douglass (Fabian) of Missouri; one son, Dennis Lemmermann of Florida; three grandchildren: Anaya Douglass, Samara Douglass, and Fabian, Jr. "DJ", all of Missouri; two sisters, Dawn Thompson of New York and Kim Thompson; close cousin, Rebecca A. King-Keys (Karl) of New York; and a host of other relatives, his Air Force brothers, trucking family, and friends.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 in the St. Mary's Cemetery, East Main St., Port Jervis.
