Raymond N. Bostock, Jr., an Air Force Veteran and retired electrical engineer, died after a long illness on October 9, 2018. He was 88 years old.
The son of Neva Kaiser and Raymond Bostock Sr., he was born on March 11, 1930 in New York City. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot who flew reconnaissance over the Soviet Union during the Cold War. He served honorably again in the Vietnam war, twice stationed in Thailand. He made the transition from prop planes to jets. While stationed in Colorado he attended Colorado State University and obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was extremely intelligent, patriotic and a loyal friend. He retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Raymond is survived by his devoted wife and soul mate, Doris, at home; his children: Raymond Bostock III (Kathleen), Andrew Bostock (Stacey), Catherine Bostock-Hudy (Stephen), Elizabeth Bostock (Joel Copley), Margaret Bostock and Jeanne Bostock; stepchildren: Deborah Ripps (Bradford), Antoinette DePasquale (Dennis), and Mark Mannino (Stephanie); a sister, Mary Christine Magaziner in England and grandchildren: Kristin, Chad, Raymond IV, Zachary, Rebecca and Celia; step-grandchildren: Jeffrey, Zachary, Molly and Paul; great-grandchildren: Mathew, Larissa, Dustin and step great-grandchildren, Jolee and Isaiah.
He is pre-deceased by his step-son, Paul Mannino.
There will be no visitation and burial will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery with full military honors at the convenience of the family.
