SPARTA _ The Van Kirk Homestead Museum’s fall exhibit is on loan from the Museum of American Glass and includes its New Jersey historical glass collection as well as a few modern glass art pieces from New Jersey glass artists.
Opening day for the exhibit is Sunday, Sept. 22, from 1-4 p.m. There will be talk at 2 p.m.
In addition to the main gallery, the entire house will be open as well as the wagon house with its new transportation exhibit. Downstairs, visitors will find a newly restored kitchen exhibit.
Connie Gordon will be in the Sparta Gallery to speak about food preservation. In the past, she has brought some tasty samples.
The Sparta Historical Society is located at The Van Kirk Homestead Museum at 336 Main St., (Route 517, use Middle School Driveway), www.vankirkmuseum.org.
