CITY OF NEWBURGH – Newburgh historian Mary McTamaney will discuss how large-scale demolition during urban renewal impacted the city during a discussion on Sunday at the Newburgh Free Library.

The Newburgh Preservation Association is hosting “How Did Urban Renewal Change Newburgh,” which will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 124 Grand St. in Newburgh.

Approximately 1,300 structures were demolished, including housing on the waterfront and along Water Street.
