WARWICK – An investigation into a report of sexual abuse committed against a juvenile female led to the arrest Tuesday of a Warwick man, Town of Warwick police said.

Police said Enrique Hernandez-Flores, 34, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a minor, a misdemeanor. Police said the sexual abuse occurred Feb. 4 in the Village of Warwick.

Hernandez-Flores was arraigned in Warwick Village Court before Justice Jeanine Garritano Wadeson. He was taken to Orange County Jail early Tuesday, where he was being held in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond. He is due to return to Warwick Village Court Feb. 21.

Hernandez-Flores was arrested following an investigation involving town police, the Orange County Child Abuse Task Force and New York Sate Police investigators.
