WOODBURY – State police said a man whose car they stopped on the Thruway Sunday night possessed more than half a pound of marijuana.
Police said they stopped Edgar Manon, 39, of the Bronx on the Thruway in the Town of Woodbury shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday for an equipment violation. An interview with Manon established probable cause to search the vehicle, police said.
According to police, that search revealed more than half a pound of marijuana in Manon’s possession.
Manon was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was arraigned in Town of Woodbury Court and released on $2,500 cash bail, pending further court action.
