BANNERMAN ISLAND — The Bannerman Island Trust is pleased to announce the return of Eleanor Seeland to Bannerman Island. Eleanor grew up on the island from the 1930s to the early 1940s. Special arrangements have been made for Eleanor to make appearances on the island when she will share her most interesting childhood memories growing up on an island among castle structures.

The first of her four visits this year will be June 2 (originally scheduled for June 23). Eleanor is the subject of a new children’s book “My Name is Eleanor: A Bannerman Island Adventure” written by Wes and Barbara Gottlock who will also be on hand with Eleanor for a fundraising book-signing.

Trip includes round-trip cruise from Beacon at 2 p.m., guided tour of the island, Eleanor’s storytelling and a book signing. For further details and reservations visit bannermancastle.org.
