ULSTER – A Kingston man was accused of passing counterfeit money at Walmart in the Town of Ulster on Monday night.

Ulster town police said Walmart reported the counterfeit money being spent at 8:22 p.m. Officers responded, found the suspect in the store a short time later and took him into custody without incident.

The suspect, Gerald Calderon, 55, of Kingston, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony. He was arraigned before Ulster Town Justice Marsha Weiss and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
