The West Point Band will continue its Music Under the Stars concert series at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with “Kids Night.” Like other concerts in the series, it will be at the Trophy Point Amphitheater. It will be preceded by an”instrument petting zoo” at 6 p.m. and followed by a screening of the Disney film “Coco.” It’s one of the band members’ favorite concerts and the kids love it too. If the weather is poor, it will be moved inside to Eisenhower Hall Ballroom.
Another favorite of the band is the “Dancing Under the Stars” concert featuring the popular Benny Havens Band, a band within the band, and said to be the hands down favorite of the bandmates. Their seventh “Dancing” event will be at 7:30 p.m. August 4 when the most scenic dance floor in the Hudson Valley welcomes dancers to enjoy the music that will get the feet moving to the Dougie, Mashed Potato, Foxtrot to the best of swing, disco, Latin, country, funk, hip-hop, Motown and more. As always, the concerts are free and open to everyone. Allow extra time for a full security check of your vehicle at all gates. The number to call to check whether there are changes is 938-2617.
