SOUTHEAST - A Liberty man faces felony charges after being accused of stealing thousands of dollars from corporate bank accounts.

Troopers arrested Samuel J. Sicoli, 49, on Tuesday, charging him with first-degree identity theft and third-degree grand larceny, state police said.

State police in Brewster received a complaint of a possible larceny of $7,300 from corporate bank accounts on June 7.

Troopers later determined that Sicoli used false identification to access and steal the money from the KeyBank accounts, according to state police.

Sicoli was arraigned in Town of Southeast Court and sent to the Putnam County jail without bail, state police said.
