BLOOMING GROVE - The body of a Washingtonville High School student who was missing over the weekend was found near his home on Sunday. Blooming Grove Police Chief Carl Schupp said the body of Timothy Davis, 13, was found about 400 feet behind his home in a wooded area in the Town of Blooming Grove. Schupp declined Sunday afternoon to comment further on the investigation into what happened to Davis. State police are assisting Blooming Grove police with the investigation, said Troop F Public Information Officer Trooper Steven Nevel. Davis was a freshman at Washingtonville High School, according to a notice from Superintendent Roy Reese posted to the Washingtonville school district's website on Sunday. The notice listed resources for students who may need help coping with Davis' death. A Crisis Intervention Team established a Crisis Center at Taft Elementary School on Sunday. The team will be at Taft Elementary School again on Monday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will extend its hours on an as-needed basis, according to the notice. Anyone seeking more information about the Crisis Center is encouraged to contact Paul Saladino, a school district social worker, at 845-497-4000 extension 22502 or by emailing him at email@example.com. Davis had been missing since Friday, according to the Facebook page named Find Timothy Davis.
