WOODBURY – A Wallkill man was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana after he was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations on the Thruway Thursday night.
State police said troopers stopped Dale P. Martin, 47, of the hamlet of Wallkill at 9:15 p.m. in the Town of Woodbury. An interview with Martin established probable cause to search the vehicle, police said.
Martin was found to be in possession of undisclosed quantities of cocaine and marijuana, police said.
Martin was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor; and several vehicle and traffic violations.
He was arraigned in Town of Woodbury Court and released on his own recognizance, pending an Oct. 24 court appearance.
