MONTICELLO — The Kiwanis Club of Monticello recently held its 72nd annual installation dinner at Tilly’s Diner at 34 Raceway Road in Monticello.
Newly elected Hudson River West Division Lt. Gov. Sandra Nagler installed the following club officers for 2018-19: Lori Benjamin as president, Sharon Jankiewicz as vice president, Linda Barriger as treasurer, Ellen Nesin as secretary, and Robert Green as assistant secretary/board member. New directors are Marvin Rappaport, Robert Huebner, Doris Motl and Sheila Lashinsky.
Legion of Honor recipients were Robert Huebner for 40 years of service and Henry Good and Helena Manzione for 25 years of service. Kathy Garlick was the recipient of the Legion of Merit Award for 10 years of service to the club. Sheila Lashinsky was recognized as the Kiwanian of the Year.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to serving the children of the community. The Monticello club meets the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Tilly’s Diner. For more information about membership or club activities, contact Lori Benjamin at 794-2888.
