MONROE - The Monroe Historical Society will have its November program, "The End of the War to End All Wars," at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Monroe Senior Center, 101 Mine Road in Monroe.

The speaker will be Paul Ellis-Graham, retired Monroe-Woodbury High School teacher and Monroe Historical Society member.

World War I ended 100 years ago on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. Five citizens of Monroe were among the 116,516 Americans killed in the war.

The program is free to the public, and reservations are not necessary.
