TOWN OF ULSTER - State police charged a Kingston man and two teenagers with the murder of another city man on Saturday.

Troopers at the Kingston barracks investigated the report of a shooting shortly before 12 p.m. on Sawkill Road in the Town of Ulster, according to a news release from state police on Monday.

Mark Lancaster, 39, of Kingston was shot in the roadway and later taken by ambulance to HealthAlliance Hospital in the city, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Troopers charged Maurice Stansberry Sr., 38, with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, the news release says.

Two unidentified 17-year-old boys were also charged with second-degree murder, police said.

All three were arraigned in Town of Ulster Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail, according to state police.

Troopers continue to investigate. The Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Kingston Police Department, the Town of Ulster Police Department and the Ulster Hose Fire Department all assisted state police.
