PORT JERVIS - Metro-North Railroad will substitute buses for trains on the Port Jervis line between the Port Jervis and Harriman stations this weekend.
The substitutions, which start with the last outbound trains from Hoboken, N.J., Friday night and continue through Sunday night, will enable crews to continue upgrading the line's signal system to support positive train control.
Buses will follow train schedules in both directions and make all stops between Harriman and Port Jervis. Trains will operate between Harriman and Hoboken.
The exception is that customers traveling from Salisbury Mills will be bused to NJ Transit's Ramsey-Route 17 station.
