CAMPBELL HALL — The Orange County Industrial Development Agency on Thursday adopted an initial resolution to consider tax breaks for the construction of an equipment maintenance facility and office building in Campbell Hall.

The IDA is a public benefit corporation that considers tax breaks to stimulate economic development. Hampton Park, LLC wants to clear a site and construct two buildings on vacant lots at 229 Neelytown Road.

A one-story, 1,750-square-foot building would house office space for management, engineers and administrative personnel. A two-story, 5,000- to 6,000-square-foot garage would be used for repairing dump trucks and other heavy construction equipment.

Hampton Park is seeking a 10-year PILOT, $90,600 in sales tax exemptions and $6,000 in mortgage recording tax exemptions. If financial assistance is granted by the IDA, Hampton Park would add and retain a total of 34 jobs in Orange County.
