WARWICK - The Warwick Historical Society will hold a Volunteer Recruitment Day on Jan. 15 at the A.W. Buckbee Center, 2 Colonial Ave., Warwick. There will be two sessions; one at 2:30 p.m  and anther at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Looking to get your hands dirty? The Archaeological Dig Team might be right up your alley.

Good with a needle and thread? You will want to meet the clothing and textile team.

Do you have a knack for party planning? The hospitality and events committee might be right for you.

Volunteering can help reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated and provide a deeper sense of purpose, all while you meet new people and benefit your community.

The Society has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. You can volunteer once or twice a year or every week, whatever fits your schedule.

Founded in 1906, the Warwick Historical Society’s mission has been to preserve and celebrate the history of the Town of Warwick and its people.
