MONTICELLO - Sullivan County Manager Josh Potosek announced the promotion of two long-time county employees to new leadership positions on Wednesday.
Stephanie Brown was named the new commissioner of the Division of Health and Family Services.
Brown began her career with the county as a public health nurse before transitioning to director of aging services at the Office for the Aging two years ago. She was named assistant county manager last year.
Brown will replace Joe Todora, who this week announced his retirement, effective March 12, after 32 years in county government.
Potosek also promoted Michelle Huck to assistant county manager.
Huck most recently served as executive assistant to the county manager and as the county’s freedom of information law officer. She began working for the county in 2002, as a legislative employee.
Since 2017, Huck has been the county’s Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy officer, a role she will retain. She also will serve as the county’s corporate compliance officer.
