KINGSTON – City police said a man who already was wanted for burglary was arrested Monday night after he tried to commit the same crime again.
Police said officers observed Andres J. Robles, 34, of Kingston, trying to enter a Delaware Avenue business at 11:45 p.m. Monday.
When officers approached Robles, he tried to run away but was taken into custody off Newkirk Avenue after a short foot chase, police said.
Robles, who already had an outstanding warrant for third-degree burglary, was also charged with attempted third-degree burglary. Both charges are felonies. He also was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
Court information was not available.
Town of Ulster police detectives and their K-9 unit assisted Kingston police in the investigation.
Police said their investigation is continuing, and additional charges might be filed.
