FRANKLIN — Borough Police arrested an Ogdensburg man for allegedly stabbing an individual at a McDonald’s in Franklin Wednesday.


According to a press release, Franklin Police were dispatched to Davis Road, where they made contact with a man — whose identity was not released by police — who said he was stabbed at the fast food restaurant on Route 23. Officers rendered medical assistance to the victim, who exhibited multiple severe stab wounds to the left side of his body.


After several hours, police located Kenneth C. Royce Jr., 35, who was identified as a Latin King gang member, in Franklin and placed him under arrest. He was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.


The victim was flown to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He was last listed in stable condition, police said.


Upon his arrest, Royce was turned over to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department and transported to the Morris County Jail, where he was lodged pending a court appearance.


The Sparta Police Department, Sussex County Prosecutor's Office and New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Processing assisted in the investigation along with the Wallkill Valley First Aid Squad and paramedics from Saint Clare’s Hospital.
