As managers of the Greens at Chester housing development, we write to correct two errors in your May 1 article about the project. The article states that the project's sponsors, "a group of Brooklyn investors," plan to "build the homes for the Hasidic community." This is not true, and we have never said anything of the sort.

First, we are building for anyone who wishes to live in a handsome, spacious and comfortable house in the town of Chester. With decades of experience in the real estate business, we and our partners have always served all comers, regardless of identity. This is not going to change.

Second, we and our partners are all Americans and all New Yorkers, but contrary to what has been carelessly suggested and repeated in the press, at public meetings and on social media, we are not all from Brooklyn.
