Editor: It's peach season! Peach pie, peach cobbler, peach jam and that old Democrat Party favorite – imPeachment! Then again, it's ragweed season. Interesting to be able to bring things together.
The House, fecklessly led by the Democrat majority, has already voted three times NOT to go forward with imPeachment. Congressman Nadler (D-NY), House Judiciary Committee chair, apparently doesn't understand our great Constitution. Maybe he forgot while on summer “recess”. Funny, I never forgot significant things during recess.
Continuing positive economy metrics for all Americans despite some temporary issues for farmers impacted by Chinese trade policies under negotiation. Lowest unemployment rates for minorities and women since the statistics have been recorded. Continuing growth in family income, especially at the lower end of the spectrum. Improved trade agreements with Canada and Mexico only waiting Democrat approval. Some pharmaceutical consumer pricing lowered by executive order.
One would think that the aforementioned points would cause some candor and reflection on the part of Nadler and his far from majority Democrat cronies. “Impeach 45” Maxine Waters and erstwhile 2020 presidential candidate Eric Swalwell lead 29 California Democrats. Nadler and Green New Deal AOC lead 13 New York impeachment hawks. Rashida Tlaib (MI - “impeach the m-f er”), Ayanna Pressley (MA) and Ilhan Omar (MN) round out the “Squad.” Surprise!
Nadler has already regretted calling Robert Mueller who signed the “Weissmann Report”. He is dragging his feet on calling IG Michael Horowitz to testify on his first report. One can be sure he will not call John Durham for his report that is due soon. Nadler would rather do his best “Knight-Errant Don Quizote” tilting at windmills impression. Cervantes would not be impressed.
Maybe we only have to wait for Sidney Powell's arguments to throw out General Michael Flynn's entire investigation on Oct. 31? It should shut down imPeachment talk at least until raspberry season.
