Class AAA Pacific Coast League

LAS VEGAS (Mets) 7, COLORADO SPRINGS (Brewers) 5, 10 innings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colton Plaia hit a two-run double in the top of the 10th inning to help lead the Las Vegas 51s to a 7-5 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Thursday.

The double by Plaia scored Zach Borenstein and Cody Asche. The double came after Christian Colon scored on an error to give the 51s the lead earlier in the inning.

In the bottom of the inning, Col. Springs scored on a single by Nate Orf that brought home Jacob Nottingham. However, the rally ended when Drew Smith got Christian Bethancourt to hit into a forceout with a runner on first to end the game.

Smith (4-1) got the win in relief while Tristan Archer (0-2) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.

Bethancourt homered twice, driving in three runs and scoring a pair for the Sky Sox.

Class AA Eastern League

ALTOONA (Pirates) 9, BINGHAMTON (Mets) 2

BINGHAMTON -- Will Craig homered, doubled and singled, scoring three runs and driving home a couple as the Altoona Curve beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 9-2 on Thursday. The Curve swept the three-game series with the win.

Bralin Jackson doubled twice and singled twice with three runs for Altoona.

Altoona went up 2-0 in the fourth after Craig hit a solo home run.

After Altoona added three runs in the fifth, the Rumble Ponies cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Levi Michael hit a solo home run and Tomas Nido hit an RBI single.

The Curve later added three runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

Altoona left-hander Taylor Hearn (2-4) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on six hits over six innings. Opposing starter Marcos Molina (1-7) took the loss in the Eastern League game after allowing five runs and nine hits over six innings.

Michael homered and tripled for the Rumble Ponies.

High-Class A Florida State League

ST. LUCIE (Mets) 13, DAYTONA (Reds) 3

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Gene Cone, Wilmer Flores and Ian Strom each had three hits, as the St. Lucie Mets beat the Daytona Tortugas 13-3 on Thursday.

Flores homered, doubled and singled, driving home three runs.

St. Lucie scored in six different innings in the victory, including the fourth, when it crossed the plate for four runs, including a two-run single by Michael Paez.

St. Lucie left-hander David Peterson (1-0) picked up the win after allowing two runs on six hits over five innings. Opposing starter Wennington Romero (6-3) took the loss in the Florida State League game after a rough outing in which he allowed nine runs and 11 hits over three innings.

Brantley Bell singled three times for the Tortugas. Ibandel Isabel singled three times.

Mid-Class A South Atlantic League

COLUMBIA 9, LEXINGTON (Royals) 4

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Quinn Brodey had three hits and two RBI as the Columbia Fireflies defeated the Lexington Legends 9-4 on Thursday.

Down 1-0 in the second, Lexington went out in front when it put up three runs, including a single by Ricky Aracena that scored MJ Melendez.

After the teams traded runs in the third, the Fireflies took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. The Fireflies sent 11 men to the plate as Matt Winaker hit a two-run single en route to the four-run lead.

Columbia starter Anthony Kay (3-3) picked up the win despite allowing four runs and eight hits over five innings. Opposing starter Yefri Del Rosario (0-2) took the loss in the South Atlantic League game after a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs and four hits over three innings.

Cristian Perez singled three times for the Legends.
