JEFFERSON — The Falcons could not keep pace and fell short of knocking off unbeaten Montville, 48-39, on Monday night at Jefferson High School.


Emma Wax scored a game-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and Bella Vito added 15 points to lead the Mustangs (23-0).


Ivana Tisma notched a team-high 12 points for Jefferson, which slipped to 19-5 with the loss.
