MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Rookie Ja Morant had 27 points and matched his season high with 14 assists and the Memphis Grizzlies snapped a five-game losing streak with a 105-88 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.
Dillon Brooks added 24 points and Jonas Valanciunas had 22 points and 20 rebounds to help the Grizzlies in the race for the final playoff spot in the West.
LeBron James scored 19 points and Anthony Davis finished with 15 points and nine rebounds as Los Angeles lost for only the second time in February.
The Lakers, the top team in the West, entered the game on a seven-game winning streak, but trailed by as many as 22 in the third quarter.
HAWKS 129, TRAIL BLAZERS 117
ATLANTA — Trae Young had 25 points and 15 assists, John Collins added 24 points and 10 rebounds and the Atlanta beat Portland for its second straight victory.
Atlanta, the NBA's worst 3-point shooting team this season, dazzled beyond the arc for the second night in a row. The Hawks shot 42.9% on 42 attempts and have 37 treys in two games. De'Andre Hunter picked up where fellow rookie Cam Reddish left off the night before against Brooklyn, hitting six 3s to score 22 points.
CJ McCollum finished with 35 points and Hassan Whiteside had 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Trail Blazers. Portland has dropped three straight and six of seven to fall nine games under .500.
PACERS 113, CAVALIERS 104
CLEVELAND — T.J. Warren scored 30 points, Malcolm Brogdon hit the go-ahead basket midway through the fourth quarter and Indiana beat Cleveland.
Brogdon scored 22 points. Domantas Sabonis had his 46th double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds and also had nine assists. Victor Oladipo, a game-time decision with a sore ankle, scored 19 points.
Cavaliers center Andre Drummond had 27 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Love had 20 points and 12 rebounds.
SPURS 114, MAGIC 113
SAN ANTONIO — Trey Lyles had 20 points and San Antonio overcame a shaky fourth quarter to snap Orlando's winning streak at three games.
San Antonio led by as many as 16 points in snapping a two-game skid but came within seconds of another defeat.
With San Antonio leading 114-113, Bryn Forbes lost the ball in a scramble with 7.5 seconds. Magic guard Evan Fournier raced downcourt and threw up an errant and off-balance layup with 2.2 seconds that Spurs guard Derrick White rebounded and tossed upcourt to run out the clock.
Fournier finished with 23 points and Terrence Ross added 21 for Orlando.
