MHAL ALL-STARS

New Paltz junior guard Justin DeMaria, a first-year starter, was named the Mid-Hudson Athletic League American Conference player of the year by coaches.

DeMaria is averaging 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds for Division I champion New Paltz, which plays Marlboro in the MHAL semifinals Tuesday at SUNY Ulster in Stone Ridge.
